Beyoncé made the track available for fans via her website flawless.beyonce.com over the weekend (2 August), and on it, Nicki declares that she's "the queen of rap slaying with Queen Bey".
The two music superstars have never collaborated before, so the remix was a welcome surprise for fans.
However, it was Beyoncé's verse that really got everybody talking. She begins: "And we could go around and get some good karma, but no, we escalate up in this b***h like elevators. Of course sometimes s**t go down, when it's a billion dollars on an elevator."
Although giving no actual meaning, the lyrics are thought to be referencing the elevator incident in May, in which the family hit the headlines after leaked CCTV footage showed Jay apparently in a confrontation with Solange.
The footage was captured in an elevator following the Met Ball Gala in New York.
Although the reason for the incident is still not clear, the family previously released a joint statement about the incident, which read: "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.
"Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologised to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
"The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behaviour throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day, families have problems and we're no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same."
