The Only Way Is Essex's Elliott Wright has opened up about his divorce, admitting that he will "never get over" not waking up with his children each day.

Five years ago, aged 28, Elliott was happily married and living in Spain with two children, a young son and a baby daughter, and he thought he had it made.

However, the couple have now gone their separate ways and Elliott has exclusively spoken about his heartbreak to Cosmopolitan UK.

"You can move on from a divorce, but I don't think I will ever get over the situation of not waking up with my kids in the same house as me everyday," Elliott admitted.

"It's very hard but you can move on from that and you can meet somebody else. But from a man's point of view I don't think you can forget the moment you leave the family home.

"I still remember the day I left. I looked at my kids in bed and I remember thinking this might actually be the last time I ever tuck them in here, and you never get over that. I still get upset thinking about it now."

Elliott's children and ex-wife still live in Spain, where he also runs a successful restaurant business, and he splits his time between there and Essex. When in the Med, Elliott is a hands-on dad who does school runs, bath-times and bedtimes.

Now he has had time to work through his heartbreak, which he thanks boxing sessions in the gym for, Elliott has begun dating fellow TOWIE cast mate Chloe Sims.

Chloe is also a single parent, having had her daughter Madison with her ex-fiancé, and the pair seem to be growing closer by the day.

Last week, Chloe and Madison flew out to Alicante, Spain, where they joined Elliott at his sister Leah's wedding.

The couple were later seen in an episode of TOWIE, where Chloe confirmed that Elliott had officially asked her to be his girlfriend.

During the ITV2 show, Elliott even admitted to his cousin Jessica Wright: "I'm really happy, Jess. I don't see myself even thinking about not being with Chloe right now.

"That's how I feel about it. I don't want anything else. Everything about her... she's perfect for me."

After the episode aired, Chloe took to Twitter and told her followers: "Thank you for all your lovely tweets... he's amazing @elliottwright_."
