Apperaring on ITV's Lorraine earlier today, Cher, 20, spoke of her support for Cheryl's decision to marry after just three months of dating Jean-Bernard.
Speaking to Kate Garraway she said: "I sent her a message and I think it's great… I'm glad that she's found happiness."
Girls Aloud star Cheryl married her new man Jean-Bernard in a secret wedding on the exclusive island of Mustique, earlier this month.
On hearing Cheryl's happy news, Cher was quick to congratulate Cheryl on her marriage.
Tweeting her former X Factor mentor, Cher said: "Wow! Heard your good news. Congratulations. I hope you have many more happy years and memories to come."
No stranger to secret weddings, Cher herself shocked us all when she secretly married her fiancé Craig Monk back in November last year (2013).
Relating Cheryl's happiness to her own, Cher said: "I was very fortunate to find happiness at the age that I did, I'm very lucky and I think it's great that she's now got that."
Shortly after Cher left the The X Factor in 2011, things turned frosty between her and her former mentor as Cher had been accused of suggesting Cheryl had used autotune.
When Kate mentioned the pairs crossed words, Cher was quick to take the blame for her remarks.
"I wouldn't say they were crossed words, it was just me being an idiot, being young and stupid and thinking I was funny when I wasn't. I'm very much grown up now", she said.
Looking fresh-faced for her early morning TV appearance, Cher wore her trademark brunette locks in tousled waves, sporting radiant make-up with bronzed cheeks, defining eyeliner and lashings of mascara. The starlet cut a stylish figure in an off-the-shoulder grey jumper, black skinny jeans and military boots.
Only recently back in the UK, Cher has spent the last two years breaking the States. The 'Want U Back' singer has enjoyed US success with her music thanks to her hard work and "you only get back, what you put in" mentality.
Now hoping to add to her success on home soil, Cher is back with new music and a brand new single, 'Sirens'.
This week Cher is set to embark on a chart battle with her former mentor as Cheryl's new single 'Crazy Stupid Love' goes head to head with Cher's 'Sirens' in a bid for the number one spot.
