US star Selena took to Instagram this weekend after receiving the sick and hurtful message, telling the user it was "distasteful " and "absurd".
Selena blasted: "The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of a young woman.
"I have gone through that battle with fans and family members. You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for, sweetheart.
"You won't be winning anyone's heart that way. Trust me."
Taking the higher ground, Selena then added: "Educate yourself a tad more. God bless love. Be an amazing woman, you're beautiful."
Good for you, Selena! Incidentally, the user who posted the comment has since removed their account.
Meanwhile, last week Selena sparked rumours that she and her fellow Spring Breakers cast are set to film a sequel to the hit movie.
The star shared a picture of herself posing alongside the film's director Harmony Korine, saying: "Day 2 x Harmony x Miami."
She also uploaded a throwback picture of herself and the cast on the red carpet, taken at one of the movie's premieres. Ooh, exciting!
