Speaking in a new video, Arg has said that he is pleased the former couple are friends again but says it's "hard" hearing people give their opinion on their relationship.
In the clip, which has been posted on the TOWIE website, Arg looks incredibly nervous and is stuttering while talking about his childhood sweetheart.
He says: "We've agreed to be friends. It's not that easy, I think there's a fair bit of feelings there. It's nice that we can be friends but we'll just have to see how it goes."
Arg adds: "It is hard hearing everyone's opinions on whether we should be together. Some people think we should, some think we shouldn't.
"The only people who know are me and her at the end of the day, neither of us know because we haven't spent much time together."
In last night's episode, Lydia's mum Debbie was seen talking to the fellow TOWIE mothers about her daughter and Arg, and she believes he is desperately trying to lose weight to win her back.
Arg was also seen asking Lydia out, as friends, to watch Stevie Wonder perform at the Calling Festival on London's Clapham Common - and they have since attended the event together.
All smiles and cuddling in the crowd, Lydia and Arg could've almost been mistaken for boyfriend and girlfriend again as they posed for a selfie together.
Hmmm...watch this space!
