In the dark visual, a topless Robin sports a bruised face and bloodied nose, while messages exchanged between a couple pops up on screen.
Some of the messages displayed include: "We had everything", "you embarrassed me" and "you ruined everything".
While ones from Robin reads: "I miss you", "Can I talk to you?" and "Can I see you?"
A notable text from Robin says: "I wrote a whole album about you", while the responding text says: "I don't care".
In two stages, Robin is seen with tears rolling down his face and he is also seen adjusting his wedding band. As the 37-year-old walks into the distance, a message reads: "This is just the beginning."
Robin tweeted from his Twitter account yesterday (23 June): "I'm glad I can share this part of the story. #GetHerBackVideo."
'Get Her Back' is the first single to be taken from Robin's forthcoming studio album, Paula, which is named after his estranged wife Paula Patton.
The album title follows the couple's shock split in February, when Paula and Robin announced their separation after nearly nine years of marriage.
At the time, their split was described as amicable and mutual, but a week after returning to the stage, Robin revealed that he was trying to get Paula back.
Robin also performed 'Get Her Back' at the Billboard Music Awards in May, and gave a personal shout-out to Paula before the performance, saying: "Most importantly, I'd like to thank my wife for her love and support and for putting up with me for all of these years."
'Blurred Lines' hitmaker Robin and actress Paula began dating as teenagers after meeting at school in Los Angeles. The couple married in 2005 and welcomed their son Julian in 2010.
Paula will be released on 1 July.
