Charlie Simpson is getting married next week! We didn't even know he was engaged!

The former Busted star-turned-solo singer was on ITV's Lorraine this morning (12 June), where he revealed his wedding date is fast approaching.

And, not doing anything by halves, he's getting married just as he's promoting his brand new music.

Talk about busy!

"I'm getting married next week which is scary as it's all been a bit crazy. Releasing an album, getting married… but I'm looking forward to it."

As for whether he'll sing at his own big day, he said: "I don't know. I'm not sure. I think if it wasn't my job it might be a nice thing to do.

"But because I'm a singer it might look a bit [odd]."

Even if Charlie doesn't perform, guests are in for a good night as he revealed his wedding band is actually his backing solo band.

The lucky lady is his long-term girlfriend but the soon-to-be newlyweds keep their romance well away from the limelight.

Later this year, Charlie will perform his biggest headline show to date at the Roundhouse in London on 14 October, before a series of regional concerts.

His album, Long Road Home, is out on 4 August and available to pre-order now.

It includes the beautiful track 'Haunted'. And if you haven't seen the video for that song yet, check it out! Especially as it features TWO CHARLIES!

The fun video sees Charlie playing a filmmaker who is trying to direct his rockstar alter ego on a shoot. Love it!

Of course, he was asked about his relationship with McBusted during the Lorraine chat, as he chose not to join the Busted-McFly super group alongside former bandmates Matt Willis and James Bourne.

"There was never any animosity between me, Matt and James. They're doing the supergroup now and I'm really happy for them. I hadn't seen them for a long time, six or seven years, and it's been really nice. Almost rebuilding our relationship so I'm pleased - everyone is in a good place, everyone is enjoying doing what they're doing and it's all good."
