The Scottish DJ and singer, 30, announced the break-up on Twitter on Friday (6 June), after weeks of speculation about their relationship.
After one year of dating, the 'Bounce' star says they are no longer together but implies there is no hard feelings.
He says: "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."
Rumours began surfacing that all was not well when the pair had not been pictured together for some time, and Calvin was seen leaving a club with several beautiful women.
Rita recently spoke about their relationship, saying: "I'm not a fan of long distance relationships. If you had a choice, you want that person with you.
"It makes me pretty sad. But you work with what you've got."

The couple collaborated on her single 'I Will Never Let You Down', which recently topped the charts.
They were last seen together at a taping of TV show Watch What Happens: Live in New York at the end of April.
Rita has not yet commented on the split.
