The superstar couple jetted to Cork shortly after their Italian wedding on 24 May, and spent a few days travelling around Ireland, visiting different counties.
Kim has now said their Irish experience was inspired by happy memories of time spent on the Emerald Isle in the past.
"We spent Kanye's birthday in Ireland a few years back and fell in love with it," said Kim. "It's such a calming, relaxing place."
Ireland certainly provided the privacy and peace the couple had been looking for following their highly publicised wedding in Florence, Italy on 24 May, and a week of lavish, high-profile pre-wedding celebrations in Paris, France.
While in Ireland, the famous couple blended into the crowd, being photographed only once during their time there, while leaving a cinema. And even then it was a fellow passerby who took the snap, rather than paparazzi.
As well as visiting the cinema, the pair enjoyed sight-seeing, bike rides around the countryside and some general TLC.
Mountain bike guide Fergal Somers told People: ""They were very affectionate, and it was obvious they were enjoying the remoteness of the location and the lack of people around."
After exploring Ireland, Kim and Kanye, 36, flew to Prague to attend the wedding of Kanye's stylist, before heading back to the US separately.
Kim, 33, is now in LA, where she was reunited with the couple's baby daughter North, eleven months. North had been looked after by Kim's mum Kris Jenner during the honeymoon. Kanye, meanwhile, is in New York, where he was pictured out and about shopping and greeting fans yesterday.
