In the time that Cat has been living in America, dozens of British stars have tried - and failed - to launch their careers Stateside.
But thanks to So You Think You Can Dance?, which Cat presents, she is now a household name across the pond.
Speaking this morning (3 June) on ITV1's Lorraine, however, Cat laughed: "I don't know quite how I've done it…
"It's got to end at some point, because all these things are cyclical, but while they keep on giving it to me and I'm having a great time and I love the people I work with, I'm going to keep doing it."
Good for you, Cat!
Cat, 37, was born in Birmingham and began her career aged 16 as a model. She then landed a job presenting MTV's Hitlist UK before starring alongside Ant & Dec on SMTV Live from 1998 to 2002.
In 2007, she began hosting So You Think You Can Dance? and has since moved to Los Angeles, where her career has gone from strength to strength.
Now happily married to Irish star Patrick Kielty, Cat loves the California weather and way of life - but says she doesn't "feel American"!
"It's such a lovely place to live and it is all sunshine and palm trees, but the nicest thing of all is when you can share it with people," Cat also told Lorraine Kelly.
"I've been lucky enough that tons of my friends and family have all been there, my nieces and nephews, they've all been."
Cat appeared on Lorraine to talk about her role presenting Soccer Aid 2014: The Countdown, a pre-match show airing on ITV this Friday ahead of the annual charity football game.
