Lady Gaga has jokingly compared herself to The Little Mermaid after losing her voice and having to cancel concerts.

The 'Bad Romance' singer despondently informed her Little Monsters that Disney's classic villain Ursula had swiped her gift. (Though we presume Gaga didn't have to exchange her legs or anything like that…)

Although the starlet's message was rather humorous, it's clear she's devastated at having to postpone gigs in Seattle and Vancouver.

Gaga tweeted: "I'm devastated. I'm unable to perform this week. Ursula took my mermaid voice. I've come down with horrible Bronchitis."

Poor Gaga.

She added: "My deepest apologies to Seattle and Vancouver. We'll reschedule those shows and be back to make it up to you. I love monsters #sadgaga."

A statement to her official website confirmed Gaga has been diagnosed with "severe bronchitis" and asked fans to retain tickets to be used for the rescheduled dates.

Gaga is currently on her 'Art Rave: The Artpop Ball Tour' in support of latest album ARTPOP, which features the singles 'Applause' and 'Do What U Want'. After her two postponed dates, her next scheduled concert is 2 June in San Diego, California.

She'll be on the road until November, including stops in the UK and Ireland. She'll arrive on our shores on 15 October, and visit Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Sheffield, Newcastle and Dublin.

Get well soon, Gaga!
