Kanye West has reportedly commissioned a regal portrait of new wife Kim Kardashian as a surprise wedding gift.

The 'All of the Lights' rapper and his reality star partner married in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy on 24 May, followed by an extravagant week of pre-wedding celebrations in Paris.

With no expense spared for the big day, perhaps it's no surprise that Kanye is rumoured to have asked London artist Bambi to paint Kim's portrait.

A source told the Daily Star: "It's the first non-narcissistic thing Kanye has done because he specifically didn't want to be in the painting himself. He says he wants Kim looking as much like a princess as possible."

Well, we suppose that makes sense given their wedding was fit for royalty. And included a pre-wedding reception at the iconic Palace of Versailles.

And, of course, money is no object.

Kim, 33, and Kanye, 36, married at the sixteenth century Fort Belvedere in Florence on Saturday, exchanging their vows outdoors in front of a wall of flowers before throwing a lavish party for guests.

They'd jetted their guests into Italy that morning following a week of parties and events in Paris, including the private Versailles evening, brunch at Valentino's castle and dinner at the Eiffel Tower.

Kim and Kanye are now believed to be honeymooning in Cork, Ireland, the same country where Kim's mum Kris Jenner honeymooned with husband Bruce.

The couple's nearly one-year-old daughter North is back home in LA being looked after by Kris.
