A spokesperson for Coldplay frontman Chris has shot down suggestions that the pair were seen enjoying a romantic drink together in New York this week after reportedly meeting for the first time at last year's Glastonbury Festival.
"They are not dating. It's completely untrue," said the rep.
Rumours about Chris and Alexa surfaced following Chris' separation from wife Gwyneth Paltrow, the mother of his two children: Apple and Moses.
In a statement issued in March, Chris and Gwyneth revealed they were "consciously uncoupling" after more than ten years of marriage.
"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," they said.
"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.
"We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been."
They proved their closeness by taking a holiday together with their children in the Caribbean when news of their split was first announced.
Since then, both have been spotted out and about without their wedding rings.
