Reports today suggest that producers and the show's boss Simon Cowell were taking extra precautions because they didn't want their risky antics to go wrong on live TV.
The semi-finalists are yet to be confirmed, but a source tells Reveal that if they reach the live shows, a pre-record will go ahead - but it will only be for logistical purposes.
They said: "They are pre-recording their semi-final appearance however it is for logistical reasons as the stunt will need to be outdoors and has a complex set up."
BoldDog FMX wowed the judges with their first audition, which aired last month.
Judges Simon, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams watched the motorbike daredevil act jump over ramps in the car park as the team showed off their death defying stunts, such as backwards rotations and staggeringly high jumps.
Simon in particular was shocked by their high-flying antics but admitted he enjoyed their performance because it was so risk-taking.
''You risked your life for the show. I love that," he said.
The initial auditions wrap up in the next two weeks, and the judges will then face the hard task of whittling down this year's crop contestants. The lucky few will then perform in a series of semi-final shows.
The winner of BGT will secure a cash prize of £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at this year's Royal Variety Performance.
