Beyoncé appears to have quashed rumours that her sister Solange rowed with Jay-Z over Rihanna's Met Ball party with a new Instagram photograph.

Lady Bey posted the picture online this afternoon (14 May) and it shows herself and Rihanna smiling at the Met Ball, held in New York last week.

On Monday (12 May), CCTV footage taken from a New York lift appeared to show Beyoncé's sister Solange lashing out at Jay-Z. A grainy figure, thought to be Beyoncé, doesn't intervene.

Since then the rumour mill has gone into overdrive, and one report from the New York Daily News has since claimed the pair were arguing because of Jay-Z's plans to attend Rihanna's Met Ball after party without his wife Beyoncé.

According to a source quoted in the newspaper, Solange reportedly said to her big sister Beyoncé: "Why does your husband need to go to the club right now?"

However, this new picture shows Beyoncé and Rihanna posing together that very night, although the superstar singer hasn't enlightened us with a caption... After spotting it in their feed, one of Bey's followers commented: "She definitely posted this on purpose!"

Beyoncé shared this throwback picture of herself and Solange too

This isn't the first reference Beyoncé has made to the reports either. Earlier today, we told how Beyoncé had posted several throwback pictures of herself and Solange on Instagram.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have also been pictured looking happy and relaxed at a basketball game, meaning all is well between them.

Cryptic little one, isn't she?

Meanwhile, the hotel where the lift footage was filmed has said it is "shocked and disappointed" at their security system and the guests' confidentiality was compromised - although it did not identify the guests in the footage.

A statement read: "We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline the individuals involved to our fullest capacity."
