Gary has been in the headlines this week after being accused alongside other individuals of placing money in a scheme ruled to have been set up for tax avoidance purposes.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, 12 May, Sharon wrote: "Gary Barlow is a good, standup man. He needs everyone's support. Remember, there are two sides to every story. He is a decent human being."

It's been reported that Gary and around 1,000 other people invested money in schemes that claimed to support the music industry, but it's been ruled that the scheme was actually set up for tax avoidance purposes.
Gary and the others named have yet to publicly comment.
While Gary has not tweeted since the allegations surfaced, his Twitter account was hacked on Monday, with a vile message referencing his stillborn baby being posted for his 3.5 million fans to read.
The nasty tweet remained live for several minutes before being removed.
Gary and his wife Dawn were left heartbroken in 2012 when fourth child, daughter Poppy, was stillborn. He later dedicated single 'Let Me Go' to her.
