Peter was announced as the event's presenter today (6 May) and says he is delighted to be playing such an important part in the charity event.
The Ball is held annually and raises money to help support disabled children and their families.
Following the announcement, dad-of-three Peter said: "Over the years I've been fortunate enough to meet some of the children and families who have been helped by this wonderful charity and seen I've seen the truly life changing difference they make.
"Every penny of the money raised at the Butterfly Ball goes to help disabled children so I'm pleased to help in any way I can."
Peter has been an ambassador of the charity since 2008. The Ball takes place in London on Thursday 15 May.
Meanwhile, during the Bank Holiday weekend, Peter was spotted enjoying a family day with his children and fiancée Emily MacDonagh.
The couple had taken Junior, Princess and baby Amelia to London Designer Outlet Play Park in Wembley, as Peter had been invited to cut the ribbon at the shopping centre's new playground.
