'Angels' singer Robbie announced his wife Ayda was expecting their second child earlier this week, and has now ruled out any commitment with the man-band because of his gruelling schedule.
On-and-off bandmate Robbie, who is currently touring Europe on his 46-date 'Swings Both Ways Tour', also admitted that his recent baby news was a factor in his decision.
"Logistically, I can't do it," 40-year-old Robbie told The Sun. "I have the tour and I'm going to be a dad again."
Take That - consisting of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen - are thought to be working on a new album to follow-up their 2010 release, Progress. A new single is expected by Christmas and a tour hopefully next year.
Gary already hinted last month (28 March) that Robbie may not be able to make a return, telling Alan Carr on Chatty Man: "The thing is with Robbie is that he is a family man, so whether he will be in the final line-up I'm not sure. If he's not back in the band, he'll write on the record and we will work with him on his next record."
Robbie also hasn't ruled out working with the group in the future, adding: "Whatever happens, I am absolutely going to be in Take That - I love being in Take That."
Robbie announced his happy baby news on Monday night (28 April), telling fans: "Ayda and I are delighted to announce that Theodora Rose Williams is going to be a big sister. RW xx."
Ayda is due to give birth in November, and although Robbie said he would be "totally cool" with a girl, he told The Sun: "I would quite like a little boy."
