No Doubt star Gwen will join Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on the judging panel for the seventh season later this year.
Mum-of-three Gwen, who is taking over from previous judge Shakira, simply told fans on Twitter: "It's true! gx @nbcthevoice." She also posted a photo to Instagram of a microphone in her hand, which mimics The Voice logo.
Rumours surfaced from last week that Gwen would be joining the show, but NBC confirmed the news in the early hours of this morning, writing: "There's no doubt about it! @GwenStefani will be a coach on #TheVoice Season 7!"
Gwen rose to fame as the lead singer of No Doubt in the 90s before enjoying a successful solo career.
Both Gwen and Pharrell are new coaches to The Voice US this year. 'Happy' hitmaker Pharrell announced his new job as a coach at the beginning of this month.
At the recent Coachella music festival in California, Pharrell brought Gwen out on stage as a surprise guest.
Gwen wowed the crowd as she performed her hit single, 'Hollaback Girl', which was produced by Pharrell and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes. The appearance marked just six weeks since Gwen welcomed her third son Apollo with husband Gavin Rossdale.
