When the news was announced last month, fans began to speculate whether the girl bands from series one and two would be featuring in a similar tour.
Even Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton, who starred on the show last year, vented her disappointment about the tour on Twitter, explaining that the girls "don't even get a look in."
However, a rep for 'The Big Reunion Boy Band Tour' has now told Reveal that there's hope for the girls yet.
Speaking at the Big Reunion press day on Wednesday (23 April), they said: "We've got a mixture of 2013 and 2014 acts playing across the summer festivals this year at Chester and Bristol, which features Atomic Kitten, B*Witched and Honeyz. Next year, who knows, but hopefully there'll be an opportunity to tour the girls as well.
"It just happened that this year with our partners Live Nation, it was the right time to take the boys on tour. We've only recently wrapped up the Christmas tour and and we wanted to offer the audience a slightly different mix. Hopefully there's still a lot of opportunities left in The Big Reunion brand in the future."
Atomic Kitten, B*Witched, Honeyz, Eternal and Girl Thing are the only girl bands to have appeared on the show, so fingers crossed they'll get a similar tour soon!
Elsewhere, the 'Another Time, Another Place' tour, which was set to feature the likes of Atomic Kitten, East 17, Big Brovaz and All Saints, has been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances".
