Kate, 32, took on husband Prince William in Christchurch, New Zealand earlier today, while attending an event to promote the 2015 Cricket World Cup taking place in New Zealand and Australia.
Looking as beautiful as always, the duchess managed to hit two balls bowled at her by William – but not before giving her hubby a little ticking off on the field. Perhaps he was throwing too hard?!
Well, Kate did beat him in a yacht race (twice) last week so it's understandable that Wills, 31, might have wanted to come out on top this time around.
And anyone worried about hard cricket balls flying near the future king's wife can rest easy: they were made from plastic. We still reckon it might have hurt though…
Earlier in the day, the couple paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the Christchurch earthquake of 2011. William had visited the area shortly after the disaster struck. They also opened a new visitor's centre at the Botanic Gardens and toured the Wigram Air Force Museum.
Kate, William and their baby son Prince George arrived in New Zealand earlier this month for a three-week official tour of New Zealand and Australia.
Prince George took part in his first-ever public engagement last week, joining his parents and fellow babies at a children's playgroup in Wellington. Unfortunately for us, he's not expected to make any further public appearances on his parents' tour, instead remaining in the care of his nanny out of the limelight.
