TOWIE's James Lock charged with possession of drugs

TOWIE's James Lock has been charged with possession of class C drugs.

The reality star was initially held on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of Class A drugs in February, following an encounter with a minicab driver in Dagenham, Essex.

The possession charge has since been downgraded from class A to class C. A police spokesperson confirmed to Reveal that James was charged and released on bail. James pleaded not guilty to both charges.

James is now due to appear before Redbridge Magistrates Court in Ilford, Essex, at a later date.

Police were called to a dispute in Dagenham at 2.45am on Sunday 9 February, involving two men and a minicab driver.

In relation to the arrest, a police spokesperson said: "Two men were arrested after becoming involved in a dispute with a minicab driver. One man, aged 27, was held on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of drugs.

"A second man, aged 31, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and a public order offence."

James first appeared on ITV2 reality show, The Only Way Is Essex, during series eight in 2013.
