In fact, constant questioning about Beyoncé has left Michelle rather baffled. Michelle, 33, admitted in an interview this week that she doesn't understand the fascination over her friendship status with Queen B.
Speaking to TIME, Michelle, who recently teamed up with Beyoncé to record 'Superpower', said: "We still support each other. We're still amazing friends. Whether it's to support each other musically, or just personally, when we happen to be in the same city."
Michelle joined the R&B 90s supergroup with Farrah Franklin in 2000, replacing the group's original members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. However, Farrah soon left the group leaving Michelle, Beyoncé and Kelly as a trio.
The group notched up incredible record-breaking success but disbanded in 2005 to pursue personal projects. However, ever since joining the band, there have rumours swirling that Beyoncé and Michelle haven't seen eye-to-eye.
"It seems to be a mystery, or a wonder, like, if we're still friends or something," continued Michelle. "And I always wonder, what is the fascination? This is a genuine question.
"I'm just curious, like, we [Destiny's Child] haven't had an album out in 10 years. I'm just still wondering the fascination. And I'm not being mean or smart. That is a real question. Like, really?"
'Run The World' hitmaker Beyoncé reunited with former bandmates Kelly and Michelle early last year during a Super Bowl halftime performance in New Orleans.
