The Captain America star, who is reportedly pregnant, spoke out against the nickname often given to her by fans.
"I associate that name with, like pop stars," the 29-year-old told the May issue of U.S. Glamour magazine. "It sounds tacky. It's lazy and it's flippant.
"And there's something kind-of violent about it. There's something insulting about it."
Scarlett also opened up about her relationship with her French journalist boyfriend Romain Dauriac and why she thinks it will last longer than her marriage to actor Ryan Reynolds.
"I think I know myself better. I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship.
"And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself."
She added: "When I was first married, I was much younger. And I have had the opportunity now to work more on getting to know myself.
"I know that makes you a better partner and somebody who is able to work with somebody and stay in a relationship in the not-romantic moments."
