Mean Girls star Lindsay turned heads in New York on Monday (7 April) when she arrived at the Late Show with David Letterman studios ahead of an interview.
No doubt Dave quizzed Lindsay on her most recent admission – that she drank a single glass of wine after declaring herself sober.
Lindsay made the confession on an episode of her OWN reality show, after returning home to New York from a visit to Los Angeles.
"Being in recovery and leaving a place where you're in this little bubble and everything is safe around you, it's really hard, and I jumped right into a relationship and a relationship where we weren't on the same page," she explained.
"I wasn't considering the fact that the person I was seeing does drink. And I had a glass of wine, and that was it. But it was that I just had so much guilt, and it's OK to admit it, it's really scary. It took me a bit to like finally be like, why am I holding this in? Yes, f**k it. I screwed up, and that's okay, but now what can I do so that doesn't happen again?
"That's a part of the process. That's a part of life."
Lindsay has said it was just that one time and just one glass and that's she fully committed to remain sober and working on her recovery.
27-year-old Lindsay completed a 90-day court-ordered rehab stint in 2013 following a plea deal in relation to a car crash in California the previous year.
She is documenting her road to recovery and attempts to get her professional life back on track in the documentary for OWN, the cable network owned by Oprah Winfrey.
