The 'We Can't Stop' singer had been scheduled to perform the latest date on her 'Bangerz World Tour' in Charlotte, North Carolina on 7 April, but pulled out on medical advice.
A statement read: "[Miley] has been diagnosed with flu and doctors have ordered her to rest. She will not be able to perform as scheduled."
Refunds are available.
Miley's next tour stop, in Raleigh, North Carolina, this evening, is still going ahead as planned right now.
It's been difficult start to the month for 21-year-old Miley, who has been publicly grieving following the death of her beloved dog Floyd.
Miley announced her devastating news via Twitter on 2 April, telling fans: "I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real… But my precious baby Floyd has passed away. I am broken."
The heartbroken star sang to a giant statue of her late dog on stage at the weekend, pouring her heart out to the audience in Brooklyn, New York.
"That was the hardest song of the night to do," she said. "As you know, because I lost my Floyd this week. Sometimes I just can't stop from breaking down crying, but it's healing for me to be here with you."
Miley's most recent tweet was 7 April. It simply read: "Excruciating pain."
