Viewers saw Arg left stunned on last night's eleventh season finale when former castmember Lydia popped up unexpectedly at a cast party, marking the first time they'd been face-to-face in more than a year.
Fans of TOWIE are well aware of the former couple's tempestuous relationship which played out on screen and ended after Arg was unfaithful.
When Lydia arrived yesterday, Arg was flustered and initially ran out of the room before returning to speak with her. He's made no secret of the fact he's sorry for cheating and that Lydia was the first love of his life.
During a chat on ITV's This Morning today, the reality star was asked if there was ever a chance of a romantic reunion.
"Who know what can happen?" he replied. "Anything could happen in Essex. We haven't been together for nearly two years and when we did break up initially, it wasn't a nice break up. Both of us did things we shouldn't have done, it was bitter and angry, we said things, done things…
"At the moment it seems unrepairable, but who knows in the future."
Arg's relationship with Lydia is covered in his new autobiography,Living It Arg: Tales, Tantrums and TOWIE, which he hopes explains everything about his feelings to Lydia.
"I think she'll have comfort from knowing the reasons why I did it and the fact of how genuinely sorry I am," he said. "She's a big part of the book and I'm still very fond of Lydia, she was my first love, I was with her for four years."
