Clockwork will be released on 25 May, with her second single and album due out later in the summer.
Speaking about her single, the Dancing On Ice judge said: "Clockwork represents a relationship that had its moment and when it did it was fireworks.
"But now it's fizzled out and you want to go back for more fireworks even though it's done. It's dangerous and exciting but may leave you a little scarred. We've all had one of those."
Earlier this year, Ashley revealed that she had been working on her solo music.
She said: "Music is coming, yeah - March. I'm excited! I've been in the studio, I've been recording, I've been writing - I've just been putting my heart into it.
"This is my baby. I've been through a lot in the past with being in a girl group and coming out on my own - how is it going to do?
"No matter how it does, I'm so proud of myself for getting in there and doing it and actually getting it out there. It's been a while but it's going to get out there, so I'm excited."
The star was a hit on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2012 and recently appeared as a judge on the final two series of Dancing on Ice. She can currently be seen as a presenter on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
