James 'Diags' Bennewith, Tom Pearce deny plans to quit TOWIE

TOWIE's Tom Pearce and James 'Diags' Bennewith have both denied rumours that they are planning to quit the ITV2 reality show.

According to reports over the weekend, Tom, Diags and their co-star Jasmin Walia were believed to have been the latest stars to leave the show, with a source stating that they are planning to return to their day jobs.

But last night (30 March), just hours before the penultimate episode of TOWIE aired, the reality stars and best friends took to Twitter to set the record straight.

Tom said: "Just to clear things up me and @JamesBennewith are not quitting TOWIE."

Making a similar comment, Diags tweeted to fans: "Apparently me and @tompearce1 are quitting Towie... Guess it must be all the stress we're under #diagsdoesntquit."

TOWIE's 11th series wraps up on Wednesday (2 April).

Tom joined the show back in 2012 during series five, and viewers have witnessed his short-lived romances with Lauren Goodger and Lauren Pope, as well as his holiday romance with Lucy Mecklenburgh.

Meanwhile, Diags was introduced as Joey Essex's best friend in series four, and although he appeared to be unlucky-in-love at first, viewers have recently seen him embark on a romance with flatmate Fran Parman.

TOWIE's eleventh series will come to an end this week, with the final episode airing on Wednesday night (2 April).
