In the photo, William and Kate can be seen smiling at the camera while adorable Prince George stares at protective pet dog, Lupo - too cute!

There are no signs of any sleepless nights on the happy faces of Will and Kate, while baby George has certainly grown since his last appearance in an official photograph.

We last saw the world's most famous baby in his official Christening photos in October 2013.

As well as ageing a few months, Prince George has clearly put on a few pounds and gained a bit of hair in the new photo in which he can be seen wearing a personalised jumper.

According to an accompanying statement, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chose to release the new family photograph ahead of their forthcoming tour to New Zealand and Australia.

The photograph was taken by Jason Bell in Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace. Photographer Jason also took the official photographs for the Christening of Prince George at Clarence House in October 2013.

George was born on 22 July 2013 at the private Lido Wing at St. Mary's Hospital. His full name is His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis.
