Coronation Street star Michelle joined thousands of others last week in posting a make-up-free picture online to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Alongside her image, she gave details of where followers could donate money.
But one follower wasn't too impressed, telling Michelle: "Clearly wearing make-up… using a good cause for self promotion #shocking #shallow."
Michelle was quick to respond, saying: "I got 14,000 favourites with that pic. If everyone donated that means the charity got £42,000. Did you donate? Probably not!"
She added: "And just for the record, I actually wasn't wearing make-up! Stop being so negative, it's for charity you silly boy!"
Michelle later told her followers: "Sometimes you have to take a deep breath, walk away and let karma take over!"
She then uploaded a picture with the phrase: "A real woman avoids drama, she knows her time is precious and she's not wasting it on unimportant things."
No make-up selfies began trending online last week, with the idea being women taking part donate money to cancer research, and encourage others to do the same.
However, not everyone has been supportive of the selfie craze, with some questioning if it's really the best way to raise money and awareness for the devastating disease.
