The popular TV presenter was dining with his mother and aunt in Chiswick on 13 March when the incident happened.
Police were called but no charges filed.
Following the story being reported this morning, Ant, 38, took to Twitter to thank fans for their well wishes and reassure them that all is fine.
"Thanks for all your lovely tweets," he wrote. "Me and my mam are absolutely fine. Not gonna let an idiot ruin things. All good and v happy!"
According to reports, the youths had been taking pictures of Ant and his family through a pub window and making rude gestures. Ant is said to have gone outside to request they stop, with his mother following him to check all was okay.
It's then been claimed Ant was put in a headlock by the gang while his mother was pushed to the ground.
Scotland Yard later confirmed they'd attended the site of the pub in relation to an assault complaint, adding: "Police attended but no allegation was made and no one suffered any notable injuries."
