Viewers of the Essex reality show saw Lewis and Grace flirting after an exercise session on Sunday night (23 March), but Lewis later admitted to Diags, Tom Pearce and James 'Arg' Argent that he wasn't really interested.
Lewis told his pals: "I was flirting and everything but I was sitting there thinking, 'This is the second time we've been on our own. If I was going to kiss her this would be the time I do it'. I just didn't want to."
Arg cheekily suggested that Grace was punching above her weight going after Lewis, prompting Lewis to smile, although he disagreed.
Some fans took exception to Arg's phrasing, prompting Lewis to tweet after the show: "Arg said I was punching not me, surely you all just saw that? Grace is a lovely girl we hung out and the spark wasn't there what can I say?"
He also retweeted a fan who pointed out it was better to be honest then hook up with a girl and dump her.
Fans last night saw Grace supporting Lewis as he prepared for his boxing match, even making him a banner so she could cheer him on ringside.
But it all fell apart after the weigh in when Grace tried to strike up a conversation with Lewis but it was clear he wasn't interested. He said he was tired and preparing for the boxing was taking everything out of him, leaving a despondent Grace to excuse herself.
Grace later broke down in tears while talking to friend Georgia, saying she couldn't understand his behaviour.
"Why is he being a f**king pr**k like that? I felt so uncomfortable just then and I wanted the ground to swallow me up."
"Everyone just wants to play games all the time," she added. "I feel like a mug, like I've been mugged off. He put those roses on my car and made me chase him. I didn't know what to do. The conversation was dead, I felt like an idiot. I've come here for him. What for? What for?"
