During an awkward dinner at a restaurant, the reality star was faced with questions from the Wright clan about whether he would be able to provide a future for Jessica.
At the time, Ricky insisted he loved Jess more than they'd ever know and would always strive to make her happy and, this morning, he continued to prove his commitment to Jess.
Ricky told his Twitter followers: "Love will prevail."
He also retweeted one follower who said: "I duno why everyone is getting involved?! A relationship is between TWO people!! #leavethemtoit #yourhappy (sic)."
Ricky also woke up early to make Jessica a special treat, tweeting: "I think I'm going to make @MissJessWright_ some breakfast in bed! How do u like your eggs in the morning? #ilikeminewithakiss."
A throwback picture of them kissing and looking blissfully loved up followed, and he told another follower he hoped to prove his doubters wrong.
Meanwhile, speaking to the official TOWIE website after the episode, he said: "I think the Wrights are a caring family, a very strong family. My family is very strong too but we deal with things differently.
"Their family is very involved in Jess' life, which is fair enough, they do care. But there are certain things they don't have to get involved in like our relationship, and when we're happy, let us be happy.
"If she's unhappy and saying things like, 'Oh, Rick's gone and done this and that', then fair enough, put your opinion in. But while we're happy let's keep it that way."
TOWIE continues Sunday on ITV2.
