David Beckham stars in Only Fools and Horses - preview
Earlier this year it was announced that retired footballer David, 38, will be appearing in a sketch of the iconic comedy series as part of a star-studded night in aid of this year's Sport Relief campaign.
It will also be a trip down memory lane for fans of the show, as the last time Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst played the wheeler-dealing Trotter brothers was for a Christmas special in 2003.
David plays himself in the special episode and fans will see him sitting in a greasy spoon cafe in Peckham.
In the short clip, Del Boy (played Sir David) and Rodney Trotter (played by Nicholas) sit at a table with David and question his choice of eyewear.
Former England captain Becks simply replies: "To be honest I thought that if I were to wear these, no one would recognise me and I could be a little bit, you know, in cognitive."
Speaking on The Michael McIntyre Chat Show last night (17 March), Sir David revealed that Becks came up with the initial idea.
The 74-year-old actor explained: ''He said he had always loved Only Fools and Horses and that it would be great to do something with me and Nick. So then the grapevine started to work as these things do.''
Watch the Only Fools and Horses Sport Relief Special on BBC One Friday 21st March from 7pm.
