The former child star sizzles in a denim Balmain jumpsuit as the iconic magazine's April cover star, and proves she really can pull off any look with a series of stunning looks inside, all styled by ELLE's creative director Joe Zee.
Emma found fame at the tender age of 11 years old when she was cast as Hermione Granger in the mega Harry Potter movie franchise.
But rather than enjoying the perks of fame and following the path of certain other adolescent stars, the now 21-year-old has largely kept her private life away from the headlines.
Explaining her motivation for privacy, she explains: "I remember reading this thing that Elizabeth Taylor wrote. She had her first kiss in character. On a movie set. It really struck me.
"I don't know how or why, but I had this sense that if I wasn't really careful, that could be me. That my first kiss could be in somebody else's clothes. And my experiences could all belong to someone else."
Although she's amassed a huge fortune, fame and critical acclaim through her career, the British star admits she is slightly envious of respected up and coming actresses.
"There are all these actresses who have emerged in the last year or two, and they get to emerge as this complete human being. And I'm so jealous!"
Emma will next be seen in the biblical epic movie Noah, which co-stars Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connolly and, as you might have guessed, is about Noah's Ark.
"It's Shakesperean, what happens to this family when they're put in this confined space for 40 days and 40 nights," says Emma. "It's the end of the world – how these different human beings are dealing with the impact of that. Are humans good? Are we bad? All of these themes are epic."
Emma's issue of US ELLE arrives 25 March. For more information visit the ELLE website.
