Katie, 30, is due to give birth to her first child any day and joined a group of 150 fellow pregnant women, mums, dads and babies at a coffee morning held by Kiddicare.
While at the event in Hayes, Katie got chatting about people's experiences - and admits it has helped with her first-time nerves!
Speaking afterwards, Katie said: "It's the insights you get from parents who've been there and done it that I hope will make the coming months just a little bit easier.
"I've been soaking up as much advice from new parents as possible. I now feel much more confident after listening to their inspiring stories!"
She added: "Parenthood is an incredible journey and I can't wait for mine to start. It's so important for parents to share experiences so we can all learn from each other – we're all in the same boat after all!"
In 2008, Katie was severely burned in a shocking acid attack arranged by her ex-boyfriend and she has since undergone countless operations.
After announcing her pregnancy in September, Katie admitted that she had previously wondered if she would ever give birth to her own child.
She said: "I feel so lucky because for any woman it's a blessing to be able to conceive and carry a child, and to be honest, there was a time in my life when I thought I'd lost that privilege.
"I had to keep saying to myself, 'It's real, it's really happening to me!'"
