The superstar music artist has become well-known for his eye-catching headgear in recent weeks, after arriving at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in January wearing a vintage Vivienne Westwood "mountain" hat.
Taking advantage of the unexpected love for his hat, Pharrell has since been seen sporting a grey version of the vintage item, as well as a pink and blue version.
But now he will have to make do without this popular original, as it has been sold for a hefty sum.
Tweeting about the sale yesterday, the 'Happy' hit-maker wrote: "Thank you to whoever bought my Grammy hat on @eBay for $44,100. Your donation benefits From One Hand To AnOTHER."
Not only has the money gone to charity, it turns out that the hat has gone to a good home too.
Shortly after Pharrell posted his tweet, American fast food chain Arby's replied: "@Pharrell You're welcome. We're HAPPY to support a great cause & get our hat back. Good luck at the #Oscars tonight!"
The company then uploaded a screen shot of their final bid on eBay, confirming that they were indeed the lucky winners of the hat.
Back in January, Arby's joked that Pharrell had stolen their hat, since his Grammys headwear looked almost identical to the hat in their logo.
They tweeted: "Hey @Pharrell, can we have our hat back."
The music producer later responded: "Y'all tryna start a roast beef?"
Arby's impressive bid of £26,379 (roughly the equivalent of $44,100) will be donated to Pharrell's nonprofit From One Hand To AnOTHER foundation, which helps children and young people living in at-risk communities throughout the US.
