The duo recorded the visual in East London on Thursday (27 February), marking their first collaboration together.
Tom and Richard kept fans updated yesterday as they made their way to the shoot. Richard said: "Good morning to all! In the car en route to the video shoot for the 1st single off the album! Excited is an understatement."
After an early start, 'Glad You Came' singer Tom said: "That's a wrap for me. Had a top time shooting the video for Fireflies with @ImRichardRawson Looking forward to seeing the finished thing!"
Speaking about 'Fireflies', Tom recently told Captial FM: "I'm really proud of it and it's just one of a few projects I'm working on at the moment."
Richard, announced earlier this month that he was dropping the name Fazer and rebranding and releasing all future music under his real name Richard Rawson.
The rapper and producer, who rose to fame in N-Dubz along with Tulisa and Dappy, made the announcement in a video posted to YouTube, which coincided with his 27th birthday.
Richard and Tom collaborated in the studio together last year, and this will be the first time that Tom has gone solo without his Wanted bandmates, Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran.
Last month, The Wanted announced that they will take a break after their current 'Word of Mouth' tour "to pursue personal endeavours".
The boys didn't say how long they would be taking an hiatus for, but promised fans that it would not be the end for the boyband. The Wanted kicked off their tour in Dubai on 14 February and will bring it to the UK on 14 March in Liverpool.
