The pop songstress attended the star-studded music evening at the O2 Academy in Brixton yesterday (26 February) and managed to beat some pretty tough competition in her category, from the likes of Kanye West, David Bowie and Sir Paul McCartney, to be crowned the 'Best Solo Artist'.
After receiving the gong and dedicating it to fellow nominees Bowie and Jake Bugg, Lily then partied the night away - but somehow ended up breaking her prize in the process.
The mum-of-two was pictured leaving the O2 Academy holding the top of a finger, which had snapped off the rude hand gesture award.
How?! When?! Why?!
With no explanation (apart from the caption "broken"), Lily then posted a photo of the gong in two pieces on her Instagram. Oops!
But the ceremony had got off to a great start at least.
The chart-topping singer arrived at the NME Awards channeling a colourful babe from the 60s, as she wore an orange and black striped dress by Roksanda Ilincic and draped a very striking green and blue coat over her shoulder.
She accessorised with a pair of white heels and tied her black hair up into a bun, drawing attention to the eye-catching blue streaks in her fringe.
Known for her love of nail art, Lily was of course rocking some crazy colours on her talons too.
She opted for a tropical theme with red, yellow and green shades and then painted a tiger print over the top for an extra oomph.
It's been a whirlwind week for the star, since Lily only just returned from Paris on Tuesday (25 February), where she was promoting her latest music and getting in the mood for Paris Fashion Week.
