Robin postponed the first two of his shows in North Carolina and Atlanta, with the third being in Orlando on Tuesday (25 February), citing vocal problems.

But today (26 February), in an update to fans, Robin explained that he is ready to get back on the stage and continue with his tour.

Robin, who is set to perform in Washington DC on Thursday, wrote in a statement on his website: "I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days. My fans mean everything to me.

"I'm looking forward to getting back on out on the road and performing in Washington DC this Thursday, and the rest of the tour. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!"

'Blurred Lines' hitmaker Robin and actress Paula began dating as teenagers after meeting at school in Los Angeles. The couple married in 2005 and welcomed their son Julian in 2010.

The pair announced their separation via a statement on Monday night (24 February), explaining that the split was amicable and mutual.

But their separation came as a shock to fans, who last saw Robin and Paula happily posing and loved-up on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards in January.
