Joey Essex has enlisted the help of Phillip Schofield for his new TV show Educating Joey Essex.

Former TOWIE star Joey travelled to Africa earlier this year to film the ITV2 series, which will air soon.

As you'd probably guessed from the title, the fun series will follow Joey as he is "educated" on African wildlife, culture and geography during his trip abroad.

Phillip will provide the voiceover.

An excited Joey confirmed Phillip's involvement and the name of the show via Twitter on Tuesday (25 February), sharing a photo of himself and the This Morning host together in a studio.

He added the caption: "Buzzin @schofe has just done the VoiceOver for my new show #educatingjoeyessex and he loved it Coming soon on @itv2 (sic)."

So far, there haven't been many details about what Joey did while in Africa, but we do know there was a painful incident with a monkey...

Joey tweeted on 11 January: "It's true... I was bitten by a monkey out here in Africa. But I have seen a doctor."

It's thought Joey was bitten after encountering the monkey at a market. He was immediately taken to a local hospital where he was given the all-clear.

Joey also visited Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary where he met a chimp called Natasha, who is apparently the cleverest chimp in the world! He also met an orphaned chimp who'd lost its mother to a poacher's trap.

The former I'm A Celebrity.... Get Me Out Of Here! favourite got friendly with the locals, including one shop owner who was so impressed with Joey he now wants to stock the star's Fusey range.

He also camped alone in National Kruger Park and brushed his teeth next to an elephant one morning!
