The basketball player was married to Khloe for four years, but they grew apart last year amid allegations that Lamar had been suffering from an addiction to drugs and had cheated on Khloe several times. (He denied this when the rumours first surfaced.)
Reality TV star Khloe filed for divorce before Christmas, blaming "irreconcilable differences".
However, 34-year-old Lamar still believes that the Khloe is his wife and even claims that the divorce may not go ahead.
Speaking to Us Weekly recently, he said: "I love my wife. She'll always be my wife, no matter what.
"We don't know exactly if [the divorce is going through]. Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife."
The athlete - who is now moving to Spain to play basketball - married Khloe in 2009 and the couple then went on to feature in their own spin-off television series.
But a reconciliation still looks far from likely, since Khloe and Lamar's marital home has now been sold and the curvaceous 29-year-old has moved back in with her mother Kris Jenner.
On top of that, Khloe is speculated to be growing closer to her rapper friend The Game, as they have been spending a lot more time together in recent months.
Over the weekend, Khloe posted a black and white photo of herself with the rap star and added the intriguing caption: "I could explain but it's more fun this way @thedocumentary #10PlusYearsandCounting."
But although the rumour mill is swirling, The Game has previously insisted that he and Khloe are more like siblings.
Last October, the 34-year-old artist (real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor) said: "Khloe is my friend. She is like a sister. We have never and will never be sleeping together."
