Justin Timberlake postponed the first of two concerts in New York last night due to health reasons.

The 'Sexyback' singer is currently on the road for his mammoth '20/20 Experience World Tour', but he was forced to cancel his concert at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan on Wednesday night (19 February).

Taking to Twitter, Justin said: "Hey NY. There is never an easy way to do this... Unfortunately, I have to postpone tonight's show to Friday due to health reasons.

"I am truly sorry to everyone that have tickets for tonight. It kills me to have to do this. I hope to see you all on Friday. --JT."

Justin, who is married to Hollywood actress Jessica Biel, kicked off his tour on 31 October last year in Montreal. The 33-year-old will arrive in the UK on 30 March for a concert in Sheffield before coming to London's 02 Arena on (1 April).

Justin's performance in New York tonight is still expected to take place as planned, while his Wednesday performance has been moved to Friday.

Last month, Justin took home three gongs at the People's Choice Award and after thanking wife Jessica in his acceptance speech, Justin celebrated by having a meal at US fast food chain Taco Bell.
