The retired football star, who is an ambassador for UNICEF, has travelled to Tacloban in the Philippines to meet children saved from the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan.
While there he made friends with a gorgeous little girl, pictured wearing a pretty pink outfit, and also became acquainted with a large group of smiley youngsters, who he made Valentine's Day cards with.
David was shown UNICEF's vital emergency work for children, which included visiting a child-friendly space at one of Tacloban's major evacuation points, and has described the experience as humbling.
He said: "I was humbled to visit Tacloban and see how people are still so full of spirit despite the devastation they have suffered. Close to 6 million children are affected and many have lost loved ones."
"As a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, seeing how children are being given a sense of normality amidst the rubble of their communities has been amazing."
He added: "I want to show people around the world how their generous donations have had an enormous impact on children and their families and how thankful people here are for their kindness."
Earlier this week, doting dad David was spotted out in New York with his sons Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz and daughter Harper.
The family had been supporting mum Victoria, as she showcased her latest designer pieces at Fashion Week.
