Sarah Harding has confirmed that her solo music will be nothing like the tunes released by Girls Aloud!

The former GA star has been busy recording her debut album and has warned fans that the lyrics to her songs are likely to contain swear words.

Sarah, 32, has been working in the studio with her boyfriend Mark Foster, who has produced the tracks, and her music will still be pop - just "edgier".

Speaking to The Sun, Sarah said: "The odd swear word doesn't harm anyone, does it?

"I love pop, but with an edge, and that's what I'd say my music is. And quite controversial."

Sarah, from Ascot in Berkshire, first found fame in 2002 on the TV show Popstars: The Rivals.

Together with Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Wash, Girls Aloud was formed.

The pop band had a hugely successful career but, in April 2013, Girls Aloud announced their split after 10 years together.

Since then, Kimberley has thrown herself into a West End career and, earlier this week, Nadine became a mum after announcing the birth of her first child.

Nicola has spent time focusing on family life while Cheryl is rumoured to be in talks with Simon Cowell about returning to The X Factor.
