But unlike the short-lived 2012 union of the Take That crooner and the actress, Marc and Chloe are still going strong, despite the love odds being firmly stacked against them.
Not only do they have a sizeable age gap of 23 years between them, they also have almost 5,500 miles between their usual homes.
However, while many couples would fall at the first hurdle, Marc, 45, and Chloe, 22, are more in love than ever – and are about to celebrate their one year anniversary.
A source close to the couple tells us: "Things haven't been easy but they split once and were miserable without each other, so they decided they had to made it work. It isn't easy but if it means they can be together it's worth the extra work and sacrifice."
And along with their red carpet appearance, the couple are often seen on holiday together, spending time with each other's families.
Only a month ago they were in Barbados with Chloe's dad TopShop boss Phillip Green.
And they've also been spotted with Marc's five-year-old twins Max and Emme, from his marriage to singer Jennifer Lopez.
"Marc, more than Chloe, knows what sorts of things can doom a relationship, so they make plans to avoid the pitfalls," says the insider. "They do date nights with plenty of romance, texts and phone conversations, even face time. They're never out of each other's lives for long."
