5ive star Ritchie Neville has spoken out after leaving reality show The Jump, saying he "gave it everything".

Ritchie exited the C4 competition in the semi-final last night after going head-to-head with investigative journalist Donal MacIntyre.

But after losing out to Donal in the nail-biting final 'jump' in Austria, Richie and his skis were sent packing.

Taking to Twitter, the pop star has since told fans: "If you're gonna fail, fail gloriously, that's my motto, know you gave it everything, then you can live with yourself."

He added: "Ps. @DonalMacIntyre 17.5m you b*stard!! I'm in your camp tomorrow, go human wrecking ball!! @DonalMacIntyre to win #TheJump #GoDonal."
Ritchie's 5ive bandmate Scott Robinson, who has recently become a dad again to twins, also took to Twitter to congratulate his pal.

"@RitchieNeville unlucky mate, you've done yourself proud. For someone who has never skied you look like a pro #TheJump."

Former Blue Peter presenter Anthea Turner was also eliminated last night having previously performed the shortest ski jump out of her, Ritchie and Donal.

The Jump continues tonight on C4 at 9pm.
