The couple went out for dinner at Floridita restaurant in London yesterday (29 January), but on their way home they suffered a car accident, when their taxi was hit by another vehicle.
A spokesperson confirmed the news to Reveal, saying that Jess, Ricky and their driver have now been discharged from hospital and are "a little shaken".
"Jess and Ricky were travelling home from dinner last night in a taxi when it was hit by another car. The two of them and their taxi driver were taken by ambulance to hospital and all treated for minor injuries, then discharged. They are all well, just a little shaken.
The spokesperson added: "Ricky has cuts, a fat lip and broken finger. Jess has injured her back and bruised her ribs."
Ricky also confirmed that he and Jess are alright, tweeting: "Just got home from A & E with @MissJessWright_ - our cab had a car crash but we are okay nothing major just cuts bruises & a broken finger!"
The TOWIE star then added that his lip was still swollen and posted a photo with the caption: "Woke up with the Nutty Professors lips haha!", as well as a second snap of himself sat in the ambulance and covered in scrapes.
He joked: "me looking possessed on nitrous oxide".
Aspiring singer and clothing designer Jess made sure to inform her Twitter followers that she was "safe and sound" too, while also urging them to "always wear a seatbelt".
Her mum and co-star Carol Wright did the same, reminding fans to strap up in their cars.
She tweeted: "Everyone asking Jess and Ricky are ok bruises and broken finger but they survived the crash in a cab all drive safe and seat belt up be alert."
Jessica added: "Just to confirm Ricky & I were both wearing our seat belts in last nights incident otherwise the outcome may have been a lot worse."
Loved-up couple Jess and Ricky are expected to return to our TV screens later this year, as TOWIE will air three brand new series.
