Amy Childs has admitted she had a "mental block" last night when she refused to do a live ski jump - in TV show The Jump.

Former TOWIE star Amy found herself in the bottom two last night (27 January) but when her time came to do 'the jump', she bottled it and refused.

As a result, Amy has now been eliminated from the C4 reality show having spent almost a month in Austria training for it.

Speaking to the Radio Times today, Amy confessed that she just froze when at the top of the smallest ski jump in the contest.

"I couldn't do it, I really thought that I could," she said. "I'm really ballsy. I'm not scared of falling down. I just had a proper mental block about it."

Amy was in the jump-off with former 80s pop star Sinitta, who successfully made it through to the next stage in the competition after doing the ski jump.

Sinitta's pal Simon Cowell had previously tweeted wishing her luck: "Good luck my lil pal Sinitta tonight on The Jump. Will be watching. X" he said.

Last night, the female contestants - who also included Kimberly Wyatt, Melinda Messenger, Anthea Turner and Laura Hamilton - took part in their first challenge, The Skeleton.

They each whizzed down the 800 metre icy course at speeds of around 60mph, with Kimberly topping the leader board. The former Pussycat Doll said she "thought like a bullet".

The Jump continues tonight on C4 at 8pm and the men's team will try their hand at the same challenge.
